We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio, U.S.A., a premier Historically Black College, for hosting the Conference on Nigerian Federalism. Its African Studies Center, with co-sponsorship from the U.S. Department of Education, organized the conference. Its National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center was the splendid venue of the conference. Dr. Constance Rockingham, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ann Moore of the CSU Management Team, and Dr. Ebere Onwudiwe, Director of the African Studies Center of Central State University, made participants to feel at home. Dr. Frank Eguaroje, of the Afro-American Museum, was the capable floor manager of the entire Conference.
We acknowledge the sacrifices by participants most of whom paid their own travel fares to Wilberforce.
