AN ADDRESS BY
THE LORD’S MINISTRY OF GOD’S KINGDOM SOCIETY
Brothers, Sisters, Distinguished Guests and Friends:
May Glory, Honour and Praises be unto God Almighty through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. And may the peace of God abide with you all who love and do His will always. Amen.
We thank the Most High God Jehovah for graciously preserving our lives till this day and for making it possible for us to assemble here for this important and unique ceremony – the installation of the President and other Principal Officers of the Church. (G.K.S.)
On this historic occasion, the Lords Ministry cannot sufficiently express her immense thanks and gratitude to Jehovah the Architect of the heavens and earth for graciously providing the Church with a President and other Principal Officers.
It cannot be gainsaid that the absence of a President and other Principal Officers has been agitating the minds of not only members of the Lord’s Ministry but also the minds of the generality of members.
Judging from the time we lost our 2nd president by death till now that a new President is being installed, it is clear that this work belongs to God and that we are just instruments in His hand. God is always willing to use us in His service provided we make ourselves ready and willing to do His work. One man was quoted to have said, “God will fulfill all His promises inspite of circumstances”. In the book of Daniel chapter four verse 35 it is written: “And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?”
We are therefore happy that God has answered our prayers and has given us a President. We thank God once more and congratulate the President. We pledge our unalloyed loyalty to God, the Church and declare our willingness to obey, submit and to work with him AS LONG AS HE DOES WELL BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
In 2nd Samuel charter 23 Verses two and three it is written.
The spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. The God
of Israel said, the rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men
must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
The Lord’s Ministry is here charging the President and all the Principal Officers to strictly adhere to the doctrines and practices of the Church. They should work unitedly for the growth, progress and prosperity of New Jerusalem. They should avoid selfishness, arrogance, narrow-mindedness and self-praise. They should beware of sycophants and hypocrites. - 1 Corinthians 1:10, Philippians 3:15,16, Job 20:4,5.
And above all they should be selfless, humble and God – fearing. It was King Solomon who said: “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. -” Proverbs 22:4.
In ending this address, we admonish the President and the
Principal Officers with the words of God Almighty to Joshua to wit: “This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that
is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then
thou shalt have good success.” – Joshua 1:8.
May God almighty JEHOVAH help the President and other Principal
Officers to carry out their duties in the fear of God to His glory and praise
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
