(Urhobo
Nursing Mother)
Ọmiọvwọ,
The nursing mother
With her new born
Cuddled in her hands
Bathed with encomiums
Joy is her name
Pride for her crown
Lavished with gifts
For this task of nature
Wherein her womb
She nutured nine months
An embryo till birth
Freshly dressed after labour
Made up face maybe
Fed with choice food
To regain all losses
Nourishment and baby
Family , friends
Neighbours , well-wishers
Visit in droves
A queenly treatment
Being a mother
Does not come easy !
