Far from being Edo-phobic, the reverse is the truth. It ever occurs to you that the Urhobo, long dormant in articulating their position on any topic, be it national or provincial, are only recently being awakened from slumber? Thanks to Urhobo Historical Society for providing the vehicle for this new awakening.

If for fear of what others might think or say we keep silent, then we shall have enabled the continued perpetuation of half-truths. Thus, any suggestion of the Urhobo being Edo-phobic is akin to Caucasian Americans accusing African Americans of racism.

This is why I implore my brother, Mr. O. Victor Ikoba, to think again.

Sincerely

Diesode
