The Nigerian army has no historical role to play in the future of Nigeria. Since its formation during colonial times, the army has always been a weapon of violence and control used by the government against the unarmed populace of Nigeria. Now, Obasanjo has decided to vietnamize the Niger Delta--to pacify the Niger Delta and make it safe for oil multinationals by building "strategic hamlets"---destroying the villages and rebuilding them under military protection so as to stop/contain the Niger delta struggle. ODI WAS THE TEST CASE-- FIRST, THE GOVT DESTROYS IT, THEN REBUILDS IT WITH MILITARY PROTECTION IN A SAFER TERRAIN. OTHER VILLAGES WILL FOLLOW, FINANCED UNDER THE NDDC framework/cover of development. THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLE WILL BE MOVED AND RE-SETTLED IN PROTECTED VILLAGES/TOWNS to stop the struggle and allow the multi-national to recover oil and gas in peace. THIS IS THE VEITNAMIZATION OF THE NIGER DELTA POLICY THAT THE OBASANJO GOVERNMENT HAS DECIDED TO IMPLEMENT IN 2000 +.

Let me explain.

The army 'taught a lesson' at Odi. The money from the oil stolen from the Odi people and other people in the Niger Delta was used to train soldiers who now came and taught Odi people a lesson of death and destruction with bullets and shells bought with the same stolen oil money. THIS IS OBSANJO KIND OF JUSTICE. All this because the Odi people were victim to a group of armed robbers!. Often, criminals start killing policemen when there is a disagreement over money and gang members are killed despite the robbers having paid the appropriate dues to constituted authority- the police etc. There is no honour among thieves- both uniform and non-uniformed --in and out of government.

Historical notes--Tell no lies. Claim no easy victory.--Amilcal Carbal , Guinea Bussa.

In the early 1970's, the armed robber No. 1, OYENUSI terrorised the Lagos, Abeokuta, Ilorin axis. The Oyenusi gang killed many policemen and innocent people after a disagreement occurred with their police friends. Oyenusi's second in command, aka OMO JESU, did wonders with his AK-47. In his confessional statement, State exhibit No. 88, Omo Jesu claimed that the sound of rapid fire from an AK-47 was music to his soul. OYENUSI's gang hid in LAGOS and the environs. The police could not bring them to book. Rather, policemen started wearing mulfi-plain clothes outside their police station for their own safety. It became an embarrassment to the police and the government. We were under military rule. General Gowon asked the IGP to bring OYENUSI to book by all means. Captain John Agim was probably too young to remember all this.

DID GOWON SEND A BATTALION OF NIGERIAN SOLDIERS TO GO AND FISH OUT OYENUSI'S GANG IN LAGOS? NO! ---DID SOLDIERS DESTROY LAGOS TO TEACH YORUBAS A LESSON? NO! -- DID ANYBODY CONDEMN THE KILLING OF THE POLICEMEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY BY OYENUSI'S GANG? NO! --DID GOWON ASK THE MILITARY GOVERNOR TO CATCH OYENUSI IN 14 DAYS? NO! --DID GOWON THREATEN TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN LAGOS STATE. NO!--AND WE WERE UNDER MILITARY RULE!

Lagosians were the victims. A special team of CID policemen , many native to the lagos environs, was put together, and over a period of many weeks, OYENUSI and his gang members were caught. An unfair trial, covered by the press, took place in an armed robbery tribunal and OYENUSI and his boys were sentenced to death by public firing squad. Unlike ADISA and our famous brave generals, OYENUSI did not prostrate or beg. Rather, he assured everyone of his judges that he will wait for them in hell where they will all meet. OYENUSI had a goat feast party and faced the firing squad without blinking. Soldiers poured acid on the bodies of Oyenusi and his boys and put them in a mass unmarked grave.

THIS IS HOW THE ARMY LEARNT HOW TO DISHONOUR THE BODIES OF THE OGONI 9 AFTER THEIR MURDER.

more history--We are in government and in power. We are masters of the act of violence--IBB on military rule in Nigeria.

In the late 1980's, the famous gangster, ANINI THE LAW, aka Lawrence Anini and his gang terrorised Benin and BENDEL State. The Anini gang killed many policemen and innocent people after a disagreement with their police friends. Anini's second in command, AKA Osunbo, did wonders with his AK-47. In his confession, Osunbo affirmed his love for the AK-47 and its rapid fire capabilities. Anini and his gang hid in BENIN CITY . The police could not bring them to book. Rather, policemen in Benin started wearing mulfti-palin clothes outside their police station for their own safety. It became an embarrassment to the police and the government. We were under military rule. General Babaginda ask the IGP--My friend, where is Anini??-- I am sure Captain john Agim was old enough to remember this.

DID BABAGINDA SEND A BATTALION OF NIGERIAN SOLDIERS TO GO AND FISH OUT ANINI'S GANG IN BENIN CITY? NO! --DID SOLDIERS DESTROY BENIN CITY TO TEACH EDOS A LESSON? NO!---DID ANYBODY CONDEMN THE KILLING OF THE POLICEMEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY BY ANINI'S GANG? NO!--DID BABAGINDA ASK THE MILITARY GOVERNOR TO CATCH ANINI IN 14 DAYS? NO!---DID BABAGINDA THREATEN TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN BENDEL STATE. NO! --AND WE WERE UNDER MILITARY RULE!

Edos were the victims. A special team of FIIB and SIIB policemen, many native to Benin city, was put together, and over a period of many weeks, ANINI and gang were caught. After an unfair trial by an armed robbery tribunal, covered by the press, ANINI and his boys were sentenced to death by public firing squad. Unlike ADISA and our famous brave generals, Anini, Osunbo and others did not prostrate and beg. Rather, they faced the firing squad without blinking. Soldiers poured acid on their bodies and put them in a mass unmarked grave.

More History--You can take the General out of the army, but you cannot take the army out of the General --Jamila on the 1999 election.

In 1999, KEN NNEWEIRA, an unknown young man and his gang killed some policemen, probably after a disagreement. The police were not given a chance to bring them to book. No policeman in Bayelsa State wore mulfti-plain clothes outside his/her station for their own safety. The Ijaws in Bayelsa State were the victim. The situation was an embarrassment to the police. We were under 'democratic rule'. . General Obasanjo declared war on ODI in particular and the Ijaws in general.

DID OBASANJO SEND A BATTALION OF NIGERIAN SOLDIERS TO GO AND FISH OUT NNEWEIRA GANG IN ODI? YES! --DID SOLDIERS DESTROY ODI TO TEACH IJAWS A LESSON? YES!---DID ANYBODY CONDEMN THE KILLING OF THE POLICEMEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY BY NNEWEIRA'S GANG? YES! EVERYBODY!--DID OBASANJO ASK THE CIVILIAN GOVERNOR TO CATCH NNEWEIRA IN 14 DAYS? YES!---DID OBASANJO THREATEN TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN BAYELSA STATE. YES! --AND WE WERE UNDER A DEMOCRATIC RULE! WHY??? WHY??? WHY???

ODI was wiped out. Now, they want to rebuild it...Why??---Zongo Kataf?? The Junkun/Tiv conflicts??? The "the strategic hamlet" strategy. Eleme-- women and children are held hostage until their husband and sons surrender.-- What is going ON?? Why?? Choba--women were raped-- RAPE IS A WEAPON OF WAR-- Check out BOSNIA, KOSOVO, RUWANDA, BURUNDI. Warri--pregnant women are shot--This is the KILL-THEM-YOUNG option as a lesson to enemies. It is an EXTERMINATION policy. Collective Punishment--This cannot be because the Odi people were victims and the government knew this.

THE OBASANJO GOVERNMENT HAS BEGAN AN UNDECLARED WAR ON THE IJAW NATION. HE HAS DECIDED TO TAKE THE CRUDE OIL BY FORCE. ODI WAS AN EXPERIMENT--- A TEST CASE--A FOREWARNING OF THINGS TO COME!. --STRATEGIC VILLAGES IN THE NIGER DELTA. DESTROY THE VILLAGES AND REBUILD THEM UNDER MILITARY PROTECTION SO THE MULTINATIONAL CAN PRODUCE OIL AND GAS IN PEACE. THIS IS THE NIGER DELTA PACIFICATION PROGRAM.

More analysis--it does not take a weatherman to tell which way the wind is blowing-- August 27, 1985. From my notes "In the Eye of Storm".

ODI was wiped out. This is the Vietnam pacification program brought home to the Ijaw front. It is a strategy of war designed to 'empty the sea'. If Mao states that a freedom fighter is like a fish in water in the midst of his people, then the US army decided that if you empty the water, the fish will not survive. If you cannot control the fish, then contain/control the sea. Wipe out the peoples' homes--divided the sea into small shallow ponds that can be controlled and the fishes will have nowhere to hid. Therefore the destruction of Odi had nothing to do with the armed Nneweira gang. It was designed to neutralise the
IJAW MILITANTS. It is a test case for the "strategic hamlet strategy" ---the vietnamization of the Niger Delta. This war strategy has three part. PART 1-- create an imaginary crisis and declare enemies are in the villages. PART 2--wipe out the villages in order to protect them. PART 3-- Rebuild the villages in more secure terrain and control them. This allow you to fish out the militants and freedom fighters. It was used in VIETNAM by the Americans and in Zimbabwe by the white Rhodesians. This is why Nneweira was not caught. He has gone to another village to hid and we know what follows as the villagers are protected from him and others like him.

Obasanjo won Part 1. Most people started apologising for the armed robbers as if they were part of the IJAW  MOVEMENT. In this way the GOVT attempted to criminalize the movement by implying that Nneweira had a political motive--given he is ijaw, the unstated theory went, he must be political and part of the movement. Nobody questioned this. Rather they starting condemning armed robbers for killing policemen. I could not believe it. Given the victory in the propaganda war, Obasanjo moved to part 2. He created a political crisis and before his deadline --LIKE ABACHA DID BEFORE THE END OF THE APPEAL PERIOD FOR THE OGONI NINE-- Obasanjo initiated Part 2. This was successful. Now for Part 3--rebuild Odi like a good guy under the strategic hamlet strategy. Folks would not even know what is going on as new villages are built all over the place under the cover of NDCC development and military posts put in the villages to protect the villages against-those militants etc--who want SNC and want to stop development. This policy is design to unfold in the year 2000.

This same Nigerian army could not teach Charles Taylor and his boys A LESSON. Rather, they saw fire in Monrovia, Liberia. This same Nigerian army could not teach Sierra Leone rebels --under a coporal--a lesson. Rather, they saw fire in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Nigerian army cannot teach an armed enemy a lesson. IT CAN ONLY TEACH LESSONS TO UNARMED, UNTRAINED NIGERIAN CIVILIANS. So much for their professional pride if they have any left.

The lesson taught by Lt Col Agbabiaka and his boys is that the Nigerian army is an occupying force on the nation and that it has to be DIS-BANDED as a necessary condition for our freedom in future. If Switzerland and Costa Rica can do without an armed force, so can we in the coming decade. Everybody will have their day in court---Gowon, Obasanjo, Babaginda, Col. Komo, Col. Okuntimo, Major Obi, Lt. Agbabiaka, Cap. Agim---everybody will answer for their deeds--we obeyed order cannot be an excuse or an acceptable defence in a free Nigeria. JUSTICE is on our side.

STOP THE VIETNAMIZATION OF THE NIGER DELTA.! WE WILL WIN!

IZIELEN
